And So Dawn Goes Down To Day

O.O ?    There Will Never Be Another Day Like Today.

Does everyone hear that?

That’s the sound of every Philippino on this planet mentally and physically screaming at the judges in Las Vegas.

*Filipino

There’s no such thing as a ‘Philippino’.

Sorry, that’s just a huge pet peeve of mine.

I’ve always been confused about that. Back home in Siquijor I’ve always seen it spelled with a “PH” that’s why I kept using it.

Hm…I never knew about that.

Well, there is ‘Philippine’ (adjective), maybe it’s an old version of the spelling? And I’ve read that the quality/’correctness’ of written English in the Philippines isn’t really that important. I mean, I’ve read Philippine magazines written in English while I was there and it made my inner grammar-Nazi do multiple rage back-flips. Still I’m not sure that generalization is accurate. But I’m also not sure how things are done in the Visayas.

Every time I’ve seen it in books about the Philippines, or anything else, it’s spelled with an “F”. So I’m guessing that’s the universal, safe-bet spelling.
